It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen on two wheels. And for good reason: Honda’s stunning new DN-01 is in a class of its own—the world’s first crossover bike. Its styling and seating position alone set it completely apart, showing influence from the world of our sportbikes, sport touring machines, and cruisers. But underneath that bodywork the DN-01 is even more revolutionary, offering Honda’s radical new HFT Transmission. Yes, it’s an automatic—but an automatic unlike anything you’ve ever seen. You can shift it into six preset ratios, or you can let it function as a stepless, no-shifting Continuously Variable Transmission, or CVT. The DN-01 is a perfect choice if you’re looking to get into motorcycling, if you’re a long-time rider who wants to be on the most cutting-edge bike out there, or if you’re just looking for something completely different. This bike is going to turn heads like no other in 2009.

A machine only Honda can build
The DN-01’s extraordinary HFT transmission is, of course, one of the first things you’ll notice about this bike. But there’s much, much more. Underneath all that sculpted bodywork beats a 680cc v-twin engine with a broad powerband and plenty of torque. And the DN-01’s brakes are unique too. We’re offering a machine with Combined ABS, a system which links both front and rear brakes and includes our proven Anti-lock Brake System. The DN-01 offers a combination of features unique in the motorcycling world, and which point to the future. And that’s exactly what you’d expect when you choose a Honda.

680cc V-Twin Engine
Famous for their low-revving torque and wide powerbands, Honda's v-twins are a great choice for just about every rider.
Shaft final drive eliminates chain maintenance.

Combined Braking System
Rear brake is controlled by a wide foot pedal, while front brake is a conventional bar-mounted lever.
Both front and rear are linked to provide optimal braking force to both wheels.
ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) helps maintain braking confidence under less than ideal conditions.

Motorcycle Ergonomics—Reinvented.
With a low center of gravity, low seat height and long, 63.4-inch wheelbase, it’s a handling dream in almost any situation.
