off road truck

off road truck

This is the story of my first car, and its sad downfall. My first car was my dad's red Toyota Tacoma. I was excited to get this car because it was a truck and it had 4 wheel drive! I took pretty good care of it for a while, it was like my trial period for not pissing off my dad.

Once we had a huge rain me and two of my friends were driving around. We saw an open mud pit, looked at each other, nodded and took it off into the mud. Little did we know it was a mud pit that used to be trees that got up rooted.
That means the mud was deep and loose. Within 10 seconds my truck was headlights deep in this mud. Nobody could get it out except for my cousin's friend in his big truck at 10 p.m. in the rain.

My best memory of this truck though and you'd think this would be the end of my truck but no! It was a warm sunny day in June, it was the last day of school and me and my friends were excited to be out. Somebody suggested we go for a cruise around to see if anything is going on. We ended up at these gob piles of an old coal mine. Of course I am the only truck there and peer pressure was successful on me that day. I take it up this hill with people in my cab and bed. I was not informed it was tiered so upon going up I ended up going airborne upon breaking the first tier. I hear heads slam against my roof. "You alright?" I say "Yeah we're fine keep going". Well I floor it to the top of three tiers On the way down teeter totter on the edge and go off-road afterwards breaking my 4-wheel drive somewhere in there unknowingly. Luckily I made it out without 4 wheel drive.

The kicker is though, after all that abuse I got an oil change. On the way to school my truck broke down and it turns out there were metal shavings in my engine and somehow it just destroyed it. Not sure how that happened but who would of thought that would be the way the truck went out. R.I.P. Tacoma.
