At the Geneva Motor Show, Ssangyong re-release of their new creations in the form of a new concept pickup version, named SUT 1 Concept. This concept car will be manufactured and sold at the beginning of next year.

The plan was eventually going to vehicles equipped with manual and automatic transmission model in the format of two-wheel drive system and four wheels. Own power source using a capacity of 2.0 liter diesel engine capable of producing power at 153 hp with maximum torque of 359 Nm more.

SsangYong Motors has launched new versions of its Actyon and Rexton range for 2010. The South Korean maker has just scrambled back from the brink of disaster. It already looked like going out of business completely when the GFC of 2008 and 2009 hit and almost caused it to fold up altogether. It looked as though SsangYong would be taken over by Hyundai or Kia.

The SsangYong Rexton is a sport utility vehicle.

based on the Mercedes-Benz M-Class. Initially released in Korea by the SsangYong Motor Company in late 2001, the demand for this type of vehicle in Korea has been huge. This vehicle offers standard appointments such as quiet on-road performance, car-like handling, and rugged off-road capability, and can be configured to seat seven people or as a five seater for more luggage space.

The car is available only with four-wheel drive and three engines: a 2.7 liter 121kW (162hp) / 342N·m (252lb·ft) common rail diesel, a 2.9 liter diesel and a 3.2 liter 162kW (217hp) / 310N·m (229lb·ft) petrol engine, all are manufactured under license from Mercedes-Benz.

Rextons are also assembled by the Micro Cars company in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan assembled Rextons have at least 30% local content.

In Malaysia, the Rexton II is assembled by Competitive Supreme Sdn Bhd (CSSB), also the sole importer and distributor of Ssangyong vehicles in Malaysia
